Richard Dyson

Richard Dyson was named io’s CEO in 2016 and has since been responsible for shaping io’s development as project architects and systems integrators. Richard is passionate about effecting transformation in the energy and hydrocarbon industries, and finding new ways of working, to shape and accelerate the energy transition for affordable, reliable and cleaner energy for all.

Prior to io, Richard spent 20 years at Genesis Oil & Gas Consultants where he led or sponsored multiple feasibility and concept selection studies on a broad spectrum of world class onshore and offshore developments and between 2010 and 2016 led Genesis London based international advisory practice. 

He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Surrey University, UK and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers. Richard was voted a top 10 professional in the Legal & Consultancy category of the Global Energy Elite in 2018 by the Petroleum Economist.
